BE AWARE: GrooperAI (v2024) is currently in beta and is considered pre-release software.
- Beta software may have some instability or other issues. Use at your own risk.
- We do not recommend upgrading production Grooper Repositories to a beta build at this time. It is considered best practice to set up a testing Grooper Repository to test beta features. Upgrade existing Grooper Repositories at your own risk.
BE AWARE: GrooperAI (v2024) no longer supports a Grooper thick client.
- Starting in Grooper version 2024, Grooper can only be launched using the web client.
- This requires both Grooper and Grooper Web Client to be installed on a web server to open Grooper in a supported internet browser.

BE AWARE: Grooper Config has been replaced with Grooper Command Console (GCC)
- Grooper Command Console is a command line for performing system configuration and administrative tasks previously accomplished in Grooper Config.

UPGRADE ADVICE
- ALWAYS perform a complete backup of your Grooper database and file stores before upgrading to a beta Grooper build.
- The Grooper Development Team strongly recommends you validate your Grooper Repository before upgrading. Improperly configured nodes can cause unexpected issues during upgrade.
- You can directly upgrade to version 2024 from version 2.72 and on. Versions older than 2.72 will need to be upgraded incrementally to version 2.72 before upgrading to 2024.
- When upgrading existing Grooper Repositories, take extra care when testing content to identify any irregularities or breaking points.
