BIS Named Best Place to Work in Oklahoma
Oklahoma City, August 14, 2015 – BIS, Oklahoma’s leading full-service information technology provider and integrator of high quality document and data management systems was recently selected as one of the 2015 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma. This marks the third time BIS has made the annual list of “Best Places to Work,” which was created by okc.BIZ and Best Companies Group.
BIS, headquartered in Edmond, Oklahoma, with offices in Tulsa, Dallas and Birmingham, Alabama, and satellites in half a dozen other U.S. locations, is the country’s premier IT and data management solutions provider for thousands of companies in dozens of industries coast to coast. BIS employs nearly 100 people, with nearly 80 of them located in Oklahoma.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Oklahoma, benefiting the state’s economy, its work force and businesses. The Best Places to Work in Oklahoma list comprises 32 companies, in two size categories: 18 small/medium size employers (fewer than 249 employees) and 14 large-sized employers (more than 250 employees). BIS earned the distinction as one of the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma in the small/medium category.
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in the state of Oklahoma;
- Have at least 25 employees working in Oklahoma;
- Must be in business a minimum of one year.
Organizations from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top organizations and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process, and determined the final rankings.
