Next to BIS’ president, John Bailey is the longest-tenured employee in the organization with more than 21 years of service under his belt. A former marine, who once spent a year traveling the world and working on an oil rig, John attended San Diego’s Coleman College and currently holds numerous certifications in scanner repair, online communication recorders, ApplicationXtender and Kofax, just to name a few. He’s been consulting clients on document imaging, microfilm and microfiche for more than 30 years.
In his spare time, John and his wife enjoy camping, fishing, horseback riding, and spending time with their five grandchildren.
Solutions Consultant, BIS Dallas, Texas
Shaun Garrison has been part of the BIS team for more than eight years and in that time, he’s gained a wealth of knowledge and experience to help his clients. Shaun started as a hardware technician, servicing scanners and microfilm machines for about 2 ½ years, then became part of the professional services team where he deployed content management systems, delivered system upgrades, and designed and developed complex mobile form solutions. After four years in professional services, he joined the sales team where he’s been for more than a year now. An expert on BIS’ FormSoft solution, Shaun has an associate’s degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering and was in the first group of people to become Grooper certified. He also holds a Kofax certification and in 2013 earned BIS’ Excellence in Client Relations Award.
Shaun loves being a father to his kids, is a fantasy football nut and enjoys taking electronic gadgets apart to see how they operate.
Solutions Consultant, BIS Long Beach, Mississippi
Alex Griffith came to the BIS team in July 2015, with 15 years of experience in programming, sales and support for county governments. Alex brings a vast amount of county government knowledge to BIS, which continues to provide the best possible solutions for this vital sector. Alex has spent his career in county government IT roles specializing in areas such as county clerk functions, land records, imaging and court house documents.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s in Management Information Systems and a minor in accounting. Alex offices out of Long Beach, Mississippi, where he lives with his wife and two children.
Enterprise Solutions Consultant, Bay Area, California
A specialist with more than12-years of experience in enterprise solutions, Jessica Lamb has spent her entire career providing world-class service to BIS clients. The Oklahoma native now lives in the Bay Area of California and helps operate BIS West Coast division. She has earned multiple distinctions throughout her career including BIS Sales Person of the Month 16 times; Sales Person of the Year for 2011; BIS Highest Profit Award for 2011 and Canon’s Regional Sales Person of the Year for 2006. Though versed in all areas of enterprise solutions, her areas of specialization include content management and records services.
In her spare time she loves riding motorcycles, shooting guns, country/western concerts and traveling with her fiancé.
Solutions Consultant, BIS Birmingham, Alabama
Jeff McManus spent nearly 25 years in the automobile recycling business before joining BIS two years ago. In addition to his knowledge as a solutions consultant for BIS’ hardware and software portfolio, Jeff is also a certified technician for all Canon and Panasonic scanners.
Though versed in nearly all industries, Jeff dedicates most of his time to the government sector in the southeastern portion of the U.S. In addition to his work at BIS, Jeff enjoys attending his son’s football and basketball games, his daughter’s horse shows, and he’s an avid Crimson Tide fan, attending as many Alabama football games as he can squeeze in.
Solutions Consultant, BIS Oklahoma City
After enjoying a 30-year career with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Richard Newkirk retired and brought his vast knowledge to BIS six years ago. Richard held a variety of positions with ODOT, from Field Survey to Accounting Manager to running the largest printing facility in state government. He also gained more than a decade of experience with Records Management as ODOT’s state records coordinator.
Richard earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma’s Northeastern State University. Richard’s areas of expertise for BIS clients include records conversion and content management in the government and financial sectors.
When he’s not guiding BIS clients on the world’s best technology solutions, he enjoys traveling, tennis and spending time with his three grandchildren.
Solutions Consultant, BIS Covington, Louisiana (New Orleans area)
Kevin Pond has more than 13 years of experience providing document management, data migration, document scanning and cloud file management solutions to such industries as energy, healthcare, education and his area of expertise and primary focus – county and parish government. He recently opened BIS’ newest office in Covington, Louisiana.
The former All-American football player earned his communications degree at Louisiana Tech University, and in 2003, he became the youngest graduate of the West St. Tammany, Louisiana, Leadership Program.
When he isn’t finding world-class solutions for BIS clients, his hobbies include hunting, fishing, coaching and spending time with his wife and three children.

Tim Wallace began his career in records management in 1983 and has been an integral part of the way the industry has revolutionized itself to today’s sophisticated document imaging systems. A BIS team member for five years, Tim’s expertise is focused around ApplicationXtender utilized for business process management, including data collection and automated workflows for business processes.
A graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Business Administration, Tim is “obsessed” with saltwater angling and spends most of his time fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Sales Engineer, BIS Oklahoma City
A self-professed music fanatic who plays guitar and collects vinyl albums (he recently leveraged the Kapow platform to build robots to scour the internet for records for sale, aggregate the results into a single database…), Matt Harrison has enjoyed working at BIS in a variety of roles since 2009.
Prior to joining BIS, Matt worked in software development for the real estate industry and later in document prep and capture for the legal industry. His pre-BIS experience included software testing, maintenance, release management and SQL Server.
Since joining BIS, Matt has become highly specialized in nearly all facets of the organization, including document preparation and scanning, data entry, record services, web development, software development specializing in user interface and quality assurance testing and as pre-sales engineer. His expertise includes Kofax Capture, ApplicationXtender, xPlore, Kapow and he is certified on the world’s only information processing platform, Grooper.
